Pool deck cleaning,
pool water protected

A Florida pool deck lives in the hardest conditions on the property: constant moisture, shade from the cage, and bare feet that find every slippery patch of mildew. I clean decks so the surface is safe and bright, and the pool is not a casualty of the process.

Rob answers his own phone. If he is on a wand, text a photo of the surface and he will get back to you.

The deck gets clean. The pool stays clean.

A customer once told me most guys leave a green pool behind and mine was clearer when I finished than when I started. That is the whole standard. Deck cleaning happens around open water, so the mix, the rinse direction, and the splash control all matter. I work the deck in sections, keep the chemistry out of the water, and rinse the surrounding surfaces down when the deck is done.

Deck materials get their own handling. Concrete decks take a surface cleaner. Paver and travertine decks get cleaned with the sand joints and the stone in mind, because blasting travertine or blowing out joint sand turns a cleaning into a repair job. If your deck is paver or travertine and the joints are going soft or the color has gone flat, sealing after cleaning is what makes the result hold.

Straight answers

The questions I actually get, answered the way I answer them on the phone.

Will the cleaning chemicals end up in my pool?

No. I control the mix and the rinse so the wash water stays out of the pool, and I work in sections around the waterline. The pool gets treated like part of the job, because it is.

Is a freshly cleaned deck slippery?

A clean deck is less slippery than a mildewed one. If your deck is sealed, finish choice matters too: a natural matte finish keeps more grip than a glossy one. I walk you through that choice on the pool deck sealing page.

Do you clean the cage and screens too?

Yes, that is its own service: pool cage cleaning. Doing deck and cage together is common and usually the right call.
